It’s time for the next generation of riders to hit the dirt!
Join us at Timbervalley MX for a special Free Kids Training Day – a fun, safe, and skill-building event designed to help young motocross riders improve their technique and confidence on the bike.
What to Expect
Our coaches focus on riding safety, control, and confidence – helping riders correct bad habits before they start and learn the essential skills to grow as motocross athletes.
Participation is completely free for all kids riding 50cc–125cc bikes.
This includes both the group training and track access before and after the session.
For all other riders, open practice (10 AM–2 PM) is available for $30.

Riding something different, like a 150cc or pit bike? No problem – everyone’s welcome! Just pick the class that feels right for your size and skill level.

Event Schedule
10 AM – 2 PM: Open practice for everyone ($30 per rider)
2 PM – 3 PM: Kids Group Training (50cc–65cc) – Free
4 PM – 5 PM: Kids Group Training (85cc–125cc) – Free
5 PM – Dark: Free ride time for all participants who joined the training sessions
Training Focus & Schedule
Each 1-hour Kids Training Session includes a step-by-step structure to help young riders learn safely and effectively:
⏱ 5 minutes – Rider goals & self-assessment
What are your personal goals? What do you feel needs improvement?
We start by understanding each rider’s experience and focus areas.
⏱ 10 minutes – Correct standing & sitting form
Learn the fundamentals of proper body position for better control, stability, and safety.
⏱ 10 minutes – Where to sit, where to stand
Master the transition between sitting and standing for different sections of the track.
⏱ 5 minutes – Lever control & hand positioning
Find the correct way to grip the bars, hold your levers, and use throttle and brakes efficiently.
⏱ 10 minutes – Balance drills / Slow race
Fun exercises to improve balance, braking control, and full-body coordination.
⏱ 10 minutes – Ruts & berms
Practice smooth cornering and learn how to handle ruts and berms with confidence.
⏱ 10 minutes – Jump safety & progression
Step-by-step guidance on jumping safely — when to accelerate, how to land, and what to do if something goes wrong.
We’ll also cover how to work your way up to new jumps safely and confidently.
